学生投诉 

学生 who believe that they have been affected by the inappropriate conduct of another medical student, as defined in the Standards of Conduct for the Learning Environment, should immediately notify either the Associate Dean for Student Affairs or Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and 职业发展, and must file a written report on-line within 30 business days of the alleged action and/or the completion of any consultation process in order for the allegation to be investigated in a timely manner.  医学院保留权利, 自行决定, to investigate and act on complaints involving incidents that have occurred beyond the 30-day filing reporting period.  这样的接受并不是为了, 也不会, waive timeliness defenses the School of Medicine may otherwise have available to it in any judicial or administrative proceedings. 

The Associate Dean for Student Affairs or Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and 职业发展 will gather information and may attempt to resolve the issue or forward the complaint to the SPRC for review as provided in the Student Performance Review Committee guidelines. A written notification will also be sent to the complainant letting him/her know the issue has been addressed.

All records of the investigation and the resulting action will be maintained by the Office of Academic Affairs will be treated with appropriate confidentiality.

关于对教员的指控, resident or staff member: A student may request the Associate Dean for Student Affairs to delay the forwarding of the complaint and resulting action or remedy until after the student is evaluated academically.

学生, faculty and employees of Oakland University are protected against discrimination in all aspects of education and employment. Discriminatory conduct at Oakland University occurs where individuals are treated differently on the basis of race, sex, 性别认同, 性别表达, 性取向, age, height, weight, 残疾, color, 宗教, 国籍或血统, 婚姻状况, 家族的地位, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by federal or state law.

举报骚扰事件

学生, faculty and staff are protected against discriminatory harassment that occurs due to race, sex, age, height, weight, 残疾, color, 宗教, 国家的起源, 婚姻状况 or any other characteristic protected by federal or state law.

 骚扰有两种形式:

  • Quid pro quo sexual harassment is where sex is explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual's education or employment. The submission to or rejection of sexual favors may not be used as the basis for academic or educational decisions or for employment decisions.
  • 敌对环境骚扰, 第二种形式的骚扰, occurs when the conduct is so severe or pervasive that it has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual's academic performance, 使用大学服务, 或者工作,创造一个令人生畏的, 充满敌意或冒犯性的教育或工作环境.
